Our Story
Growing Up in the Heartland

Our founder, embracing Midwestern roots and artistic passion.
Trivalaya was born from my love of two things: the rich, fertile soil of the Midwest and the power of art to tell a story. I grew up on a family farm in the Heartland, learning to respect the land from an early age. But as much as I was tied to the soil, I was equally pulled toward creativity – sketching, painting, and immersing myself in design whenever I could.
The Problem I Saw
As I got older, I became painfully aware of a disconnect in the world of fashion. I saw a clothing industry completely divorced from the earth that sustains it. Beautiful art was often confined to galleries or printed on cheap, disposable shirts. “Sustainable” clothing, on the other hand, sometimes felt plain and soulless. Why couldn’t we have both? Why couldn’t a t-shirt be a canvas for meaningful art and a testament to responsible agriculture?
Planting the Seed
The answer was closer than I imagined – it was literally growing under my feet. Hemp, a resilient and regenerative crop once common in American fields, showed me a path forward. I realized we could make fabric from a plant that enriches the soil, uses minimal water, and needs no pesticides.
I founded Trivalaya on a simple but powerful idea: to create wearable art that honors our planet. It started with one graphic tee, but it felt like planting a seed for something bigger. With each design, I set out to prove that fashion can reconnect with its roots and tell a story of place, creativity, and care for the earth.
Cultivating a Vision
Our journey is just beginning. My ultimate vision is a “farm-to-closet” future – to create a t-shirt that’s 100% grown, milled, and sewn right here in the Midwest. We’re not there yet, but every shirt we make (and you wear) is a vote for that future, a step closer to bringing our entire supply chain home. Transparency is key to us, so we’ll be sharing our progress openly as we work toward this goal.
Trivalaya is more than just me. It’s everyone who believes in blending art with agriculture and style with substance. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our journey. If this story resonates with you, I invite you to be part of our next chapter. Feel free to explore our collection or see our impact in action – we’re excited to have you with us on this adventure.
